Main Purpose of the Job  
 
To lead our operations, drive sales, and oversee customer experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in travel management, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) travel, airline GSA operations, and corporate travel services. Will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, strategic business growth, and maintaining our position as a leading travel agency in Botswana.
 
Key Performance Areas
 
Business Operations & Leadership
  • Oversee the daily operations of Easy Escape Travel, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Monitor and optimize workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of travel consultants to achieve sales targets and excellent customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and customer service standards.
 
Sales & Business Development
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in corporate travel, MICE tourism, and GSA airline representation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, airlines, hotels, and tourism boards to increase market share.
  • Design and execute marketing campaigns to promote travel packages and agency services.
  • Prepare proposals and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust business strategies accordingly.
 
Customer Service & Experience
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Handle escalations and resolve complex client issues efficiently.
  • Ensure all travel consultants provide accurate information and tailored travel solutions to clients.
  • Develop and implement service improvement initiatives to enhance the customer journey.
 
 Financial Management & Reporting
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost control measures.
  • Track revenue, sales performance, and operational expenses.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on business performance for senior management.
  • Optimize pricing strategies and profitability of travel products and services.
 
Airline GSA & Industry Engagement
  • Manage and oversee the agency’s airline GSA services, ensuring compliance with airline policies and sales targets.
  • Represent Easy Escape Travel at industry events, conferences, and networking engagements.
  • Maintain relationships with travel associations, tourism boards, and industry stakeholders.

  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and sales forecasting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
 
Experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in travel management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in corporate travel, MICE tourism, and airline GSA representation.
  • Strong understanding of travel booking systems, airline ticketing, and GDS platforms (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre).
